Palazzo Vecchio, constructed 1299 by Arnolfo di Cambio, the architect of the Duomo of Florence and the church of Santa Croce. Palazzo Vecchio is constructed on the ruins of the Palazzo dei Fanti and the Palazzo dell'Esecutore di Giustizia in Piazza della Signoria. The Palazzo serves today as town hall of Florence. It overlooks the Piazza della Signoria, which holds a copy of Michelangelo's David statue, and the gallery of statues in the adjacent Loggia dei Lanzi. Source: https://www.florence-museum.com/
